About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement services for approximately 50 vessels. This pivotal role is based in Aberdeen and includes managing a team of three direct reports, while also supervising operations in Norway and the Mediterranean. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods, works, and services, while maintaining high standards of supplier and client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in operational and commercial activities, including problem analysis, reporting, and recommending corrective actions.

• Manage, prepare, develop, and implement specific documents, procedures, and processes.

• Serve as an integral member of the global team with particular responsibility for vendors and inventory.

• Ensure value for money in procurement activities.

• Provide expert leadership, guidance, and management to the department, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

• Communicate and collaborate closely with management to ensure alignment with the Integrated Management System.

• Manage the timely issuance of RFQs and placement of POs and contracts.

• Determine supplier capabilities and manage supplier relationships.

• Conduct review meetings with suppliers and clients to promote high standards of relations.

• Attend regular procurement interface meetings with discipline managers.

• Monitor and report on company and ship procurement performance to Executive Management and Operations.

• Coordinate and develop procurement systems, including control of procurement statistics.

• Provide procurement support to projects, operations, and marketing.

• Ensure compliance with and active participation in all internal and external audits.

• Assist with contract and bid processes as required.

Personal Criteria:

• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or CIPS.

• Experience in marine procurement or oil and gas procurement.

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience.

• Excellent leadership and negotiation skills at all levels.
