Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen forWelder/ Fabricators. . Please note that the main base for this role will be Dyce, Aberdeen
The Role:
Fabrication and Welding of Handrails, Extension Sleeves, Deck Hatches, ROV Panels, Padeyes and Bottle Stands.
(Valid coding -Advantageousbut not essential)
Working hours:
Nightshift -Monday , Tues&Wed6.30pm-5.00am (10hrs) withThurs6.30pm 4.00am (9hrs)
Overtime on offer
Rate of Pay - Nights£28 per hour + Enhanced rates for Overtime
Primary Objectives
Welding and fabrication in workshop and site.
Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality.Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural fabrication works and standards.
Act with honesty, integrity and accountability
Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements :
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
