Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community? If so BRC are recruiting for a Floating Support Worker to join an incredible team across Monmouthshire.    This charity is dedicated to providing support for families and individuals affected by domestic violence, enabling them to live a life free from fear and abuse. As a Floating Support Worker your role would involve working closely with these individuals, aiding them to maintain their tenancy.    Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
  • Support women within Monmouthshire, thereby enabling these women to avoid crisis situations and/or a stay in refuge accommodation.
  • Delivering practical and compassionate support.  
  • Undertaking assessments of need and risk assessments. 
  • Working as part of a team and liaising with colleagues to provide a well-rounded support network. 
  • Ensuring measures are taken to prevent tenancy breakdown. 
  • Encouraging families to create and maintain a community support network. 
  • Collaborating with external agencies such as healthcare professionals, police and social services. 
To be successful in this position you will need to have previous experience working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence. You will be a collaborative individual able to work as part of a wider team.
