Your new schoolAn opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to work within a medium-sized Primary School situated within Blaenau Gwent. The school prides themselves on having a great reputation and received good ratings on their Estyn report. The school has a happy and enthusiastic atmosphere, with the staff working together to create a supportive and inspiring environment.Your new roleThis role is confirmed full-time and long-term for an immediate start with interviews commencing over the next couple of weeks. The position is confirmed for the full academic year in a school that caters to children aged between 3 to 11 years.Duties relating to the role include but are not limited to:
- Providing 1:1 support within the class.
- Supporting a child with general learning difficulties.
- Assisting teachers and other teaching assistants with day-to-day duties in the classroom.
What you will need to succeedTo be considered for this role, it is required that you possess:
- At least 40 days of relevant experience working or volunteering within a school over the course of the last 2 - 3 years.
- Empathetic and calm with problem-solving skills, showing commitment and a high degree of motivation.
- Experience of supporting a child on a 1:1 basis.
