This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing group going through a period of growth and success.
My client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician who can work unsupervised on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias with a good understanding of mechanical components.
Roles and responsibilities
- Complete improvement tasks/planned maintenance
- Fault finding; Panels, inverter, motors, switchgear, installation work, PLCs (Siemens S5 & S7)
- Mechanical breakdowns on hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, press and injection moulding experience beneficial but not essential
- Planned maintenance, predictive maintenance, autonomous maintenance, kaizen (an advantage)
- Understanding of legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, permits to work, risk assessments
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- 4 year indentured apprenticeship an advantage
- City & Guilds or O.N.C in mechanical or electrical engineering a benefit
- Lean technique knowledge (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, autonomous maintenance)
- Appropriate IT skills (Word, Excel etc)
- Understanding of HSE Policies
- Problem solving techniques
- Preventative maintenance techniques (predictive, planned)
