Learner Support Assistant

Brook Street Social Care are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learner Support Assistant to join a fantastic team and provide support to youth learners (ages 16-19) in achieving their learning outcomes. You will assist learners in various activities to ensure they can fully participate in their training programme, providing direct support tailored to individual needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist learners in completing tasks assigned by tutors and support the delivery of various learning programmes.
  • Engage and motivate learners, ensuring they remain focused and complete their work.
  • Help develop learners' skills and confidence through individual and group support.
  • Support learners in using ICT and help improve their math and English skills.
  • Provide clarification and explanations to help learners understand instructions.
  • Assist in updating tutors on learner progress and ensuring paperwork is completed on time.
  • Help develop lesson plans and appropriate learning resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including safeguarding and equal opportunities.

What we will need from you:

  • Experience working with young people (16-18 years) in a similar role
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to inclusion and learning.

Ideally you will have qualifications such as an assessor qualification or a classroom assistant qualification, knowledge of the training industry, and understanding of safeguarding.
