We are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant to work for the Civil Nuclear Constabulary at their headquarters in Culham.

This is a full-time permanent position working hybrid working after training.

To co-ordinate financial performance across the Constabulary, provide strategic and operational financial analysis and modelling and deputise for the Head of Financial Management as required.

PLEASE NOTE THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. THIS IS DUE TO THE POLICE AND SECURITY VETTING THAT YOU MUST UNDERGO UPON SUCCESSION.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate financial performance across the organisation, providing strategic and operational analysis and modelling.
Support the Head of Financial Management and Finance Business Partners in producing annual budgets, forecasts, and management accounts.
Monitor financial plans and investigate variances, providing advice and support for corrective actions.
Collaborate with other Senior Management Accountants in sales invoicing, financial consolidation, and budget reconciliation tasks.
Lead the Financial Management team and contribute to the development of management accountants.
Provide accurate and timely budgetary control information and produce consolidated reports.
Oversee the team's business support function, including risk and issue management.
Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to enhance financial support and reporting.

Requirements:

Part Qualified and actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy environment within industry or the public sector.
Strong Excel skills and experience in using Enterprise Resource systems.
Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent numeracy, technical, and analytical skills.
Proactive, result-oriented, and able to meet critical deadlines.
Experience in staff management.
