About the Role:

Reed HR is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to join our client's team in Abingdon. This is a standalone position, offering a unique opportunity to shape and lead the HR function within the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic thinker, capable of managing all aspects of HR operations independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement and motivation.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations matters.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits programmes
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience as a HR Manager within a SME environment, working autonomously managing all HR matters independently
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation HR best practices.
  • CIPD Level 5 and above would be desirable.
