Your new companyI am partnered exclusively with a well-established company based in Accrington, specialising in the repair and machinery maintenance, to support them in recruiting an Accounts Assistant, replacing an employee who has been with the business over over 12 years. Founded over 20 years ago, they have built a strong reputation for providing high-quality services to a diverse range of industries. Your new roleIn your new role as Accounts Assistant, you will be focusing on managing sales and purchase ledgers, including creating invoices, chasing payments, and inputting purchase orders. The role involves accurate data input for work orders and financial transactions, maintaining Health & Safety, and HR records, and assisting with financial reporting and month-end/year-end closing activities. Additionally, you will perform various administrative tasks and provide support to other departments within the company. Proficiency in handling credit control, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate records is essential. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will be familiar with Sage 50 Accounts and have prior experience in an accounting or finance role. They must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with excellent organisational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as well as the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a salary based upon an hourly rate of £14 per hour.
