Pastoral Support Officer

Are you a Behaviour/ Pastoral Specialist looking for a new challenge in an SEMH School within Accrington ?

Tradewind are currently working in a partnership with a Alternative Provision in the Accrington area to recruit an experienced Pastoral Support Officer with strong behaviour management to start with them on a full-time basis as soon as possible - July 2025 5 days a week 8.30am - 3.20pm Monday - Thursday and Friday a 2.20pm finish with the view of going permanent.

This Alternative Provision caters for KS4 - KS4 pupils. You shall be required to work closely with pupils across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.

As a Pastoral Support Officer you will be required to -

  • Deliver 1-2-1
  • Work alongside the behavioural Manager
  • Home visits
  • Attendance
  • Pastoral

We are looking for:

An experienced Pastoral Support Officer /Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

  • Recent experience in a similar setting.
  • Dedication to making a positive impact with all students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with pupils that have EHC Plans and Social and Emotional Behaviour Difficulties.
  • Team Teach Trained desirable

This Alternative Provision is based in Acrington and is close to motorway links, additionally if you are travelling by public transport there is a bus stop outside the school.
