Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week | On-Call Rotation: 1 in 5 weeksOur client is a leading renewable energy company generating c230GWh of electricity from landfill gas across 19 sites in the UK. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Operations Technician to join our team in Accrington, helping to maximize electrical output while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Adhering to safe working practices and procedures in all areas of work.• Assisting in the implementation and supervision of health, safety, and quality procedures.• Performing planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance of generator sets and associated plant equipment.• Providing backup and call-out support to other sites when required.• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of operations and maintenance activities.• Monitoring and maintaining landfill gas collection systems and associated equipment.• Managing consumable stock, including lube oils, filters, spark plugs, and fan belts, ensuring adequate spare parts stock on-site.• Participating in routine stock takes of site parts.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in operations and maintenance of reciprocating engines and/or related control systems.• Qualified to BTEC level (or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical discipline, or demonstrable relevant experience.• Highly flexible, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.• Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation (1 in 5 weeks once trained).• Full UK driving license required.
