Your new companyI am working with a reputable manufacturing business in Accrington, who are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This is a newly created role, following growth of the business and you will be working alongside another Payroll Officer, who has been with the business for over 10 years. Your new roleAs a Payroll Officer, you will be an integral part of an experienced team, responsible for preparing the monthly and weekly payroll for up to 300 employees across multiple sites in the UK. Your duties will include managing the full end-to-end payroll process, performing payroll reconciliations, and posting nominal journals. Following some recent acquisitions, you will be assisting the payroll department with the integration of the new businesses, into the inhouse payroll function. You will also coordinate with the HR department to ensure employee records are up to date and all new starter information is available. Additionally, you will assist the accounts team with various tasks when not preparing payroll. This is a full time role, working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours, giving you an optional early Friday finish.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you should have experience in a similar payroll position, handling end-to-end payroll processes. Proficiency in using Sage Line 50 and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, are essential. You should be well-organised, able to deliver in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
