Description
- Plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services
- Direct, coordinate and monitor the allocation of vehicles and drivers
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports
- Supervise, coach and train the logistics workforce
- Develop and maintain operational reports
- Ensure transportation and logistics processes align with legal and policy requirements
- Identify and address operational issues and risks
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes
Profile
A successful Transport Planner should have:
- Strong knowledge of transport systems, logistics and distribution management
- Experience within the haulage sector essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in relevant software for route planning and scheduling
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
