Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher - Primary School, Accrington

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a primary school in the Accrington area. The school is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to deliver effective intervention strategies and provide exceptional support to students with special educational needs.

Position: SEN / Intervention Teacher

Location: AccringtonContract Type: Full-Time Start Date: November 2024 or sooner

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention programmes for students with SEN, ensuring each child receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to identify children requiring additional support.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of pupil progress and contribute to individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • A passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and adaptability in your teaching methods.
Desirable:
  • Additional qualifications in SEN or experience in a specialist SEN environment.
