What you'll do:As a Property Accountant, you will play an integral role within our fast-paced property accounting department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines, preparing annual service charges budgets, conducting year-end service charge reconciliation and ensuring accurate client invoicing by entering tenancy information from leases. You will also liaise regularly with Property Surveyors, provide copy invoices and statements to clients upon request, communicate effectively with clients to resolve billing queries and maintain accurate customer details and account records.

  • Manage workload effectively to meet pre-determined deadlines
  • Prepare annual on account service charges budgets in collaboration with colleagues
  • Conduct year-end service charge reconciliation and client apportionment's
  • Enter tenancy information from leases to ensure accurate client invoicing
  • Liaise regularly and work in conjunction with Property Surveyors
  • Provide copy invoices and statements to clients upon request
  • Communicate effectively with clients via telephone and email to resolve any billing queries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records
  • Deal with all correspondence on a daily basis including payments, Solicitors' cheques and emails
  • Prepare Service Charge Budgets each year in January, discuss with Property Managers and, once signed off, enter on the system and update the charges. Uplift car parking charges and Licence agreements in line with RPI each financial year

What you bring:

  • Previous experience within a property accounting environment is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work proactively, prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Professional telephone manner with clear communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of property accounting and ability to reconcile service charge accounts and set budgets
