The Opportunity:
Are you a skilled engineer looking to work in a cutting-edge data centre environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Centre Engineer to join our team in Reading. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining critical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the overall performance of the data centre.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure all systems are operating efficiently and safely.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance.
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless data centre operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a data centre or critical environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work in a shift pattern if required.
- Qualified Electrician.
- Hold a Full UK passport.
- Right to work in the UK
- Ideally have been SC or DV cleared in the past.
