Top Essential evaluation criteria

1. Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN):
a. Design Basis Assessment
b. Unmitigated dose assessments to derive safety function classification.
c. derivation of classification of the required safety systems
d. Understanding of types of protection methods and the substantiation of those required
2. HAZARD Identification.
3. Experience in Management of Safety cases.

Essential:

* HAZARD Identification
o Use of hazard identification techniques, development of hazard and fault schedules
* Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN):
o Design Basis Assessment
o Unmitigated dose assessments to derive safety function classification.
o derivation of classification of the required safety systems
o Understanding of types of protection methods and the substantiation of those required
* Experience of developing and delivering a nuclear safety case.
* Nuclear background - nuclear safety cases or nuclear safety assessments
* Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
* Ability to technically write safety case documents.
* Manage and work with delivery partners - strong stakeholder skills at all levels.
o Gravitas to ensure people take notice of what you are saying.
o Confidence to push back, where needed.
* Understanding of ALARP
* An understanding/awareness of the environmental side.
* Experience as Manager - managing the deliverables. (No people management)
* Able to take direction as will have Line Manager(s)
o Will be covering the baseline, but also will be working for/accountable to a Programme.


Desirable
* Degree or equivalent in a science-based/engineering subject
