The successful applicant will have a freight forwarding ops background with rate negotiation skills/ knowledge and excellent general commercial awareness

  • Excellent Industry knowledge of all international transportation modes.
  • Client Quotations in all modes maximising potential of profitability future business
  • Development and maintenance of overseas relationships
  • Negotiating best rates & service from suppliers
  • Overseeing of Commercial Team members
  • Fulfilment of KPI’s as set out by the Company
  • Reporting structure as set out by the Company
  • Training of current and new staff with reviews where appropriate
  • Management of Commercial Team enquiries
  • Progression of Department
  • Liaising with and managing sales leads to Sales Department
  • Identifying quality and potential of enquiries and filtering as required
  • Arranging regular team meetings to discuss current & future strategies
  • Reasonable understanding of HR protocol
  • Excellent knowledge of Company & Industry regulations
  • Analyse competition and implement better practice
  • Some export air operational requirement
