Maintenance Engineer

Hours of Work - Monday to Thursday: 7:00 to 16:30 (Friday finish at 12:00pm)

Salary - Up to £40,000 p/a 

Location - Aldershot 

Job Type - Permanent 

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. As part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on identified plant equipment, troubleshooting issues, and listing required replacement parts when immediate fixes are not possible. 

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Ensure machinery and mechanical equipment operate efficiently by completing preventive maintenance as per company procedures, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot machinery problems by observing operations, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Maintain the building fabric and inspect services (Water, Electric, Air) in line with company procedures.
• React promptly to production breakdowns, keeping relevant personnel informed of machine status.
• Assist other departments to meet production requirements.

Qualifications of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Any electrical qualification 

Skills and Abilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

• Previous experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair.
• Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous roles as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
• Proven knowledge with PLCs
• Organised, self-motivated, and safety-conscious regarding electrical, compressed air, and pressurized systems.
