Sales / General Manager – Chemicals

Headquartered in Aldershot, UK, MinChem Ltd are specialist suppliers of Zirconium, Aluminium and Cobalt compounds, and related mineral and chemical products worldwide. Operating in this field for over 40 years has given us a pedigree in the minerals and chemicals market.

The description below is for the new full-time position of Sales / General Manager – Chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

    1. To support and build on current worldwide MinChem Ltd (and MinChem Group) business.
      1. Zirconium chemical business – learn, understand and develop.
      2. Other mineral and chemical business – learn, understand and develop.
        1. Alumina, Cobalt, Nickel and miscellaneous products.
      3. Extension of existing agency business to new markets.
      4. Help to establish potential new agency/distributorship businesses.
    2. Provide direct support to existing members of the MinChem Group team.
    3. Future replacement for retiring senior staff.

The job would be based out of our MinChem Ltd office facilities in Aldershot, with regular visits to our MinChem HMP Ltd factory facility in Stoke-on-Trent.

Qualifications and Experience
 

The candidate should have some chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science qualification. Some sales/purchasing experience would be beneficial.
Computer literate in MS Office, Word and Excel is required.
Moderate domestic and international travel for short periods of time throughout the year will be required.
Foreign languages would be beneficial but not a requirement.

Full and clean driving licence.

We are offering a competitive package including a basic salary of £35-50,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience).
