About the Company:
My client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. They specialize in designing downhole tools for the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure QHSE compliance and establish engineering standards.
  • Create technical drawings and documentation for assembly and disassembly.
  • Generate engineering test requests and reports.
  • Participate in product development and design review processes.
  • Oversee equipment qualification, testing, and prototype design.
  • Analyze customer proposals and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Develop manufacturing drawings and maintain drawing integrity.
  • Define Design Acceptance Criteria (DAC) and interface with management on design needs.

Accountabilities:

  • Communicate design changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Verify accuracy of new drawings before assembly and testing.

Authorities:

  • Present new packer designs.
  • Halt assembly processes if discrepancies in design are identified.
  • Review and approve technical drawings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Design/Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in a similar role.
  • Training: QHSE/API Q1 Awareness, knowledge of API specifications (e.g., API 11-D1), and project planning.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AUTOCAD and CADWORKS, fluency in English, and understanding of API manufacturing principles and packer design calculations.
