FP&A Analyst – Cost & PricingLocation: Alfreton (Hybrid – Monday and Friday from home)Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + bonus potential

A newly created opportunity has arisen for an FP&A Analyst to join a growing, commercially focused business based in Alfreton. This role offers real ownership and variety – ideal for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of cost and pricing data to help drive performance and shape strategy.

Working closely with the Head of FP&A, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Buying, Finance, and Product, using data to support pricing decisions, influence cost structures, and improve profitability. For example, you might identify cost inefficiencies in how an item is produced and work with stakeholders to adjust the process – balancing commercial value with operational practicality.

You’ll also look at how products are priced across a range, analysing what’s selling, what drives the most margin, and how pricing compares to the wider market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain accurate costing and pricing data

  • Build and evaluate seasonal pricing models to support commercial and margin goals

  • Deliver competitor, product, and tariff analysis to inform pricing decisions

  • Support new product development with pricing and margin modelling

  • Provide financial insight and scenario planning for strategic decisions

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across categories and territories

  • Contribute to the development of improved costing and forecasting processes

About You
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets

  • Analytical, inquisitive, and commercially minded

  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across departments

  • Experience in or exposure to costing, pricing, or margin analysis

  • Background working in or alongside a finance function

  • Ideally studying towards or interested in CIMA / ACCA
