Project Planner
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Project Planner to join a leading shopfitting business. This role will suit a person from either a Project Planning background or with strong organisational skills in an administrative support position. To excel in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The role is critical in ensuring the smooth delivery of projects from concept to completion, working closely with internal teams and clients to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and installation teams to coordinate project activities effectively.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Identify potential risks or delays and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor resources and ensure efficient allocation to meet project demands.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring all work adheres to health and safety standards and regulations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in project planning within the shopfitting, retail, or construction sector.
- Strong proficiency in project planning software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is advantageous but not essential.
