Sonic Summary

This is a fantastic business partnering role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working closely with a progressive Financial Director.
The position requires a qualified or QBE Finance Manager with extensive experience in manufacturing accounting and standard costing, along with familiarity with ERP systems.
Key responsibilities include documenting costing processes, updating standard costs, reviewing variances, and validating cost of goods sold during month-end close.
The salary for this role ranges from £65,000 to £70,000, with additional bonuses and benefits offered.
Candidates should have significant experience in a similar role, particularly in a multi-site manufacturing business.

£200m t/o, privately owned, multi-site manufacturing business based North of Derby, commutable from South Yorkshire and Nottingham

Description

Plant Controller / FBP role to include understanding and documenting, year end, month end and weekly standard costing procedures, with the opportunity to grow and to add additional business partnering services to the group.

Update standard costs in the bill of materials
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
Understand Job variances, PPV's, Production recoveries
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of month-end close
Revise/review and provision obsolete inventory as needed
Report on periodic variances and their causes. And where applicable drivers i.e., split between price, volume and mix split between
Be the conduit between Finance and Operations to bring the monthly numbers to life and add operational value

Profile

You will be a qualified or QBE Finance Manager with a deep understanding of Manufacturing accounting, standard costing, and have considerable exposure to ERP systems.

Job Offer
