  • The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for managing the planning, co-ordination and control of manufacturing, assembly and storage processes and the welfare of all operational staff.
  • Agree goals, objectives and targets for the site and individuals
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and site walk arounds in conjunction with the Site Supervisor
  • Develop and update risk assessments to manage risks.
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental guidelines are always followed
  • Responsible for the site, including COMAH obligations and other requirements.
  • Ensure down time is minimised.
  • Carry out performance appraisals of all direct reports
The Assistant Operations Manager will need to be: 
  • Experienced working within COMAH Regulations OR have experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have some Health and Safety Training of some degree.
  • Have people and team management experience and able to demonstrate this.
