We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation, working on a specialist fleet fitted with complex pump mechanisms. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer with experience in vehicle maintenance, welding, coachbuilding, bodybuilding, or pump engineering to play a key role in keeping these bespoke vehicles operational.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and modify specialist vehicles fitted with pump mechanisms.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Carry out welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs where necessary.
  • Work on vehicle building, coachbuilding, and general engineering tasks.
  • Ensure all work meets high safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve vehicle performance.
Requirements
  • Experience in vehicle engineering, maintenance, or modification.
  • Background in coachbuilding, welding, bodywork fabrication, or pump engineering is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
