I am currently looking for a number of Residential Support Workers for waking nights at a residential school in the Alfreton area.
The role includes:
- Helping to create a positive environment for each young person’ with particular reference to his/ her safety, health and education.
- Helping to carry the homes ethos and values through to the young people and represent TeacherActive as a professional.
- Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes.
- Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the safety of young people overnight, by making regular observations and checks throughout the night.
- Manage challenging behaviours according to guidelines and policies
The shifts are normally 21:00-08:00 but can vary week by week
Applicants must have:
- At least 6 months experience working with young people
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- A positive “can do” attitude
- Proficient English, Maths and ICT skills
