Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage the construction of commercial and factory projects in Bristol. The role will primarily focus on supervising subcontractors, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards. This is a long-term contract position with an opportunity for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are maintained.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of workmanship, ensuring construction meets technical specifications and project requirements.
Subcontractor Management: Liaise with subcontractors, provide them with necessary instructions, and resolve any on-site issues.
Problem Solving: Address any challenges or delays in a timely manner, mitigating any potential risks to the project’s completion.
Reporting: Keep accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, and communicate updates with project stakeholders.
Required Experience:
Proven experience managing commercial and/or factory construction projects.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating site operations.
Knowledge of both commercial and civil construction practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
CSCS card (or equivalent) is essential.
SMSTS certification.
First Aid at Work certification.
A solid understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and technical drawings.
