I am currently looking to speak with an experienced Principal Subsea Engineer to join a client based in Hampshire. 

Hybrid: 12 days per month to work remotely + 1 day carry over to next month. As such typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Projects: Carbon Capture / Onshore /  Offshore / Hydrogen /  Renewables 

Key Responsibilities

      Study and optimize subsea, deepwater, and ultra-deepwater development concepts, focusing on production fluid deliverability and system operation.

Define subsea development schemes at both system and component levels.

Review and approve third-party contractor designs for deepwater systems, ensuring adherence to project objectives, industry standards, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Monitor third-party contractor performance.

Support R&D initiatives, emphasizing architecture optimization and new technologies like seabed processing (separation, pumping, compression).

Assist in coordinating subsea specialists during feasibility, basic/FEED, and detailed engineering phases.

Prepare documentation for tender phases for SPS, Umbilical, and Riser & Flowline work packages.

Manage interfaces between different subsea system work packages and participate in project design reviews.

Ensure performance, installability, and operability of subsea systems.

Select optimal technical and economical solutions for subsea system architecture, ensuring overall technical integrity.

Address client needs, identify problems, and implement solutions.

Lead Subsea System Integration activities within the Subsea Systems department.

Ensure design consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in line with standards, project specifications, and best practices.

Collaborate with colleagues in the Subsea Systems department and other disciplines during project execution.

Minimum Requirements

      Degree in engineering

Experience in various project phases, including Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering, for both onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
