In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on financial management, administrative processes, and supporting HR administration, ensuring the company runs efficiently and effectively.

This position is full time, office based and offers free onsite parking. Due to location, own transport will be essential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role.
  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or part-qualified accountancy qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAGE 200 or similar financial software.

Key responsibilities include:

Finance Responsibilities

  • Overseeing bookkeeping tasks and preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Presenting accounts to Directors and conducting financial analysis.
  • Managing budgets, cashflow projections, and year-end stock control.
  • Documenting and implementing financial processes, such as expense authorisation and stock control.
  • Running payroll, including overtime calculations, payslip issuance, and HMRC submissions.
  • Preparing VAT submissions and managing the credit control system.
  • Authorising monthly payment runs and handling payment or invoice queries.
  • Record import of stock, stock adjustments and organising year-end stock control.
  • Handling import invoices and currency exchanges.

Additional Duties

  • Maintaining warranty and credit claim checks.
  • Managing holiday, absence, and employment records.
  • Running the company pension scheme and overseeing staff recruitment.
  • Reviewing IT security, recommending updates, and liaising with IT support.
  • Regularly reviewing company and vehicle insurance policies.
  • Creating and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).
