As our business continues to grow, we now require an additional 2 Repairs and Assembly Technicians within our Service department assisting with the repair, refurbishment and calibration of equipment along with customer related duties including raising quotes and liaising with customers via phone and email and occasionally in person. Based within our workshop and offices, this role would suit candidates who enjoy a varied hands on role but who are comfortable with some administrative and customer related tasks too. We can provide full training in our product range if you are keen to learn and develop with our business or you may currently be working in an electrical or technical workshop or bench engineer environment and so already have the necessary knowledge to transfer to our business.The role would suit candidates who have some hands on work experience within an assembly, repairs, refurbishment or production environment, seeking the next step in their career or those looking to start their career within a company who can offer development and training.We are a long established and successful company who can offer a stable permanent job with a generous starting salary, working for a local employer who have on site parking, offer Mon to Fri hours, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and contributory pension scheme with Income Protection and Life Assurance Schemes too. We also offer a discretionary annual bonus scheme paid in quarterly instalments.The key responsibilities of the role are below:- Assessment, repair, and quotation of equipment for service jobs. Calibration of various types equipment used in a range of industry sectors for measuring and testing.Providing completed service jobs/equipment to the stores team to dispatch.You will also provide assistance over the phone and in person at the counter for the following areas: Assisting to remedy Faults with equipmentExplanation of quotations to customersPricing of repairs/calibration In Depth use of equipment to resolve problemProvide status updates on job/ repairs to order processing teamAs a member of the Service department you will ensure the department provides the best service to our customers by the following:- Good output of quotation and calibration workKeeping a high accuracy of workHaving good attention to detailHelping your colleagues when requiredEnsuring the customer receives the best service possible.

To be successful, you should be able to demonstrate some relevant hands on experience from a production, assembly, repair or refurbishment type of role and you should be PC literate with Outlook for emails and the main Microsoft Packages, be happy speaking to our customers over the phone and in person at our trade counter.
