Job Overview:A leading FMCG organisation based in Altrincham are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reports, managing budgets, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant position will include:

  • Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary.
  • Month-End Procedures: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial data, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, providing forecasts and working capital analysis to ensure financial stability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate financial planning aligned with business objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior management and department leaders to provide financial insights, supporting them in achieving financial targets and making informed business decisions.
  • Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven track record in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Competent Excel skills and experience with financial software.
