We’re hiring for a Business Development Executive to join a forward-thinking, sustainable distribution company based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. This is a newly created role focused on proactively building brand awareness, driving product sales, and developing long-term customer relationships.

  • £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
  • Flexible working across 4 days a week
  • Hybrid working (2 days in office per week)

What will you be doing as a Business Development Executive?

  • Increase sales opportunities across the product range through the acquisition of new accounts and increasing sales opportunities amongst existing customers
  • Prepare sales and marketing campaigns that prioritise target audiences focusing on both individual product lines and customer target segments
  • Formulate a process and subsequently take responsibility for the follow up and conversion from contact enquires / sample requests to active customers
  • Generate marketing content using traditional marketing activities such as direct mail to support the generation of leads, as well as keeping social media channels updated
  • Create and implement promotional campaigns to maximise sales to both prospective, existing, and lapsed customers

What do you need?

  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in a product-focused or distribution environment
  • Proven track record in business development – from lead generation through to close
  • Confident using social media to engage, promote, and convert leads
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating marketing campaigns (email, direct mail, promotions, etc.)
  • Competent using CRM systems and analysing basic sales/marketing performance data
