About the Role

We are partnering with a manufacturing company seeking an Operations Management Trainee to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will embark on an immersive learning journey that offers a comprehensive overview of business operations, preparing you to advance into an Operations Manager position. You will be pivotal in managing various departmental functions, ensuring product quality, achieving strategic goals, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Throughout this program, you will receive extensive training and hands-on experience across multiple departments, providing a well-rounded understanding of the business. You will actively contribute to the company’s strategic objectives as a member of the management team. Please note, flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Training: Participate in a rotational training program across various departments to gain in-depth knowledge of business functions and practical experience.
  • Adaptability and Improvement: Adapt to changing business needs and contribute to improving operational efficiency across departments.
  • Performance Management: Achieve performance targets set by senior management.
  • Shadowing and Learning: Work alongside experienced employees to learn their methods, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Project Leadership: Lead or support special projects as assigned by senior management.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on your progress towards established goals and objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with management and trainers to assess your performance and development.
  • Cross-Department Training: Receive training in related departments to increase versatility and enhance promotion opportunities.
  • Departmental Support: Support various departments with tasks such as reporting, data entry, presentation development, strategic planning, and customer service.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and teamwork between departments to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Site Visits: Participate in site visits to suppliers in the UK and Europe.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental and business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: At least 3 years in an operations role.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
