We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our established children’s home in Tipperley. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and at least 1 year of UK experience in children’s residential care. A UK driving licence is preferred.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
  • Lead and motivate a team of care professionals, promoting a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the children.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and contribute to the home’s inspection readiness.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating a child-centred approach to care and support.
  • Facilitate staff training and development, conducting regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing leadership and support to staff during out-of-hours emergencies.
  • Engage with children, building trust and fostering their personal growth and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., health and social care, childcare).
  • Minimum of 1 year of UK experience in children’s residential care.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to care.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • UK driving licence is preferred.
