We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our established children’s home in Tipperley. This role is ideal for someone with a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and at least 1 year of UK experience in children’s residential care. A UK driving licence is preferred.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
- Lead and motivate a team of care professionals, promoting a culture of high standards and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the children.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and contribute to the home’s inspection readiness.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating a child-centred approach to care and support.
- Facilitate staff training and development, conducting regular supervision and appraisals.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing leadership and support to staff during out-of-hours emergencies.
- Engage with children, building trust and fostering their personal growth and development.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., health and social care, childcare).
- Minimum of 1 year of UK experience in children’s residential care.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A compassionate and patient approach to care.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- UK driving licence is preferred.
- Competitive salary of £28.5k.
