We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, for a CAMHS Consultant to join the established team in an independent mental health hospital in Hale, Manchester

This a part time vacancy (approximately 24 hours per week) working within the inpatient CAMHS 15 bedded specialist eating disorder service and outpatient clinic.

The post offers a competitive salary of £195,496 per annum (pro rata to £125,107 at 0.64wte) and includes on call duties

The Consultant Psychiatrist is part of and provides the clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team that aspires to provide excellent bespoke care to enable patients to fulfil their recovery goals and work towards discharge. The Consultant is responsible for leading the medical care of patients in their allocated caseload (up to ten patients), supervising their allocated Speciality Doctor and leading the multidisciplinary team.

The role holder will have a case load of up to ten inpatients There is an additional Consultant Psychiatrist who also covers the ward.

Clinical duties include leading ward rounds, CPA meetings, risk meetings and care plan meetings and leading treatment pathways for each patient. The role holder will be required to provide reports for CPA meetings and for the Hospital Managers, Mental Health Tribunal and Commissioners. Additionally, the role holder will be required to participate in site wide meetings including Clinical Governance and to take an active role in liaising with outside agencies promoting and developing the service.

The role holder will be required to participate in the Consultant on call rota.

Due to the needs of the ward, we are looking for someone with experience working in CAMHS and eating disorder services.
