Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a respected leader in the Construction industry. We are seeking a talented and experienced Bid Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the bid division, driving it to new heights of success.

The Role:
You will play a crucial role in securing new business by leading the entire bid process from start to finish. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will have the autonomy to build and refine the bid function, making this division your own. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Bid Leadership: Managing the full bid lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and assessing bid viability, to final submission and post-submission feedback.
  • Team Coordination: Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring all stakeholders contribute effectively to bid development.
  • Content Management: Overseeing the creation, review, and editing of bid content to ensure high-quality, tailored responses that align with client needs and company objectives.
  • Strategy Development: Developing and implementing winning bid strategies in collaboration with the Commercial Director, ensuring a competitive edge.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refining bid processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and success rates.
  • Client Engagement: Maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout the bidding process, ensuring clear communication and a deep understanding of their requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar Bid Manager role is essential, with a proven track record of managing successful bids.
  • Location: Candidates must be based within an hour's commute of Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and project management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to devise and execute winning bid strategies.
