About the Role:

Our client, a highly regarded secondary school in Buckinghamshire, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who is committed to supporting students with SEMH issues and low cognitive abilities, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs to students with SEMH issues and low cognitive abilities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students with their academic and social development.
  • Implement strategies to manage and support students' emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback and implementing adjustments as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH issues and low cognitive abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, special education, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
