Our clients are looking for a Field Service Engineer who comes from a strong HGV, Forklift, or Plant machinery background! They are a well-established and leaders in their field.

Field Service Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Carry out the repair and maintenance of industrial, agricultural and warehousing trucks
• Carry out fault finding to identify root causes for reported breakdowns
• Make the customers aware of all damages / faults, recording appropriate documentation
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed, includingservicing sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, quotes etc.
• Obtain purchase order numbers as per procedure
• Order replacement parts and spares for stock
• Undertake the repair & maintenance of products on customers sites
• Be responsible for the cleaning and stock management of own service van
• Liaise with the sales team, passing over any potential leads to action
• Ensure that all health and safety compliance is upheld

The ideal Field Service Engineer will:

• Ideally 5 years’ experience in FLT, HGV or plant maintenance
• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship that has covered the required knowledge, skills and procedures and a minimum of 2 years relevant post apprenticeship experience
• Able to read both electrical and mechanical engineering drawings / diagrams
• Work with hydraulic systems and pumps
• Experience of diagnosing electrical faults carrying out pressure testing
