Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a prominent company in the Construction industry, recognized for delivering top-quality projects across multiple sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, playing a key role in shaping the success of the design and build projects, ranging from £1 million to £15 million.

The Role:
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost estimates that align with project goals and client expectations. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you will have a significant impact on the financial success of projects. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Cost Estimation: Developing detailed and accurate cost estimates for design and build projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million.
• Tender Management: Preparing and submitting comprehensive tender documents, including bills of quantities, cost schedules, and risk assessments.
• Project Analysis: Reviewing project specifications, architectural drawings, and other relevant documents to fully understand the scope and requirements.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Negotiations: Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
• Budget Management: Ensuring project costs are aligned with budgets, identifying potential cost savings, and mitigating financial risks.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the design, project management, and construction teams to ensure estimates are realistic and aligned with overall project objectives.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar Estimator role is essential, with a proven track record in design and build projects.
• Project Experience: Demonstrated experience with projects ranging from £1 million to £15 million in value.
• Location: Applicants must be based within an hour's commute of Chesham, Buckinghamshire.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard estimating software and tools.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
