About the Role:

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science and ICT Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in Little Chalfont. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher passionate about technology to inspire students in the areas of Computer Science and ICT. You will have the chance to teach both practical and theoretical aspects of the subjects, preparing students for exams and equipping them with key skills for the digital age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Computer Science and ICT to Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students (GCSE and A-Level).
  • Deliver engaging lessons that cover programming, algorithms, digital literacy, data management, web development, and other key aspects of the curriculum.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to foster an engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Assess student work regularly, providing constructive feedback to help them progress.
  • Develop and maintain lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the learning needs of all students.
  • Encourage students to develop problem-solving, analytical, and programming skills.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and ensure a cohesive approach to teaching across the department.
  • Support students’ personal and academic growth, offering guidance on career paths in tech and computing.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science and ICT at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS) and familiarity with databases and web development.
  • A genuine passion for technology and inspiring students to pursue a career in tech-related fields.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons for varying ability levels.
