Teaching Assistant Job Available in Andover starting January 2025

This Primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their school from January 2025, initially for 6 weeks until February half term but could be extended for right Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to pupils in Key Stage 1
  • Implement tailored strategies to support the child's communication and interaction needs
  • Foster a calm, nurturing, and patient learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure that childrens needs are met effectively
  • Monitor and report on the childrens progress, adjusting support as necessary

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with Key Stage 1
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the child
  • Understanding of early years development and transition

Ideally you will have previous experience working in a school environment.
