We are seeking a fully qualified Electrician to join our Clients Maintenance Team. This role involves providing high-quality repair, installation, and refurbishment work. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspection and testing to British standards, maintaining both hard and electronic records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Undertake electrical repair, maintenance, and installation work in strict accordance with current I.E.E. wiring regulations.
- Perform fault finding on single and three-phase installations, testing and inspection, and portable appliance testing.
- Complete electrical installation certificates including minor works and carry out electrical installation condition reports.
- Engage in shower replacement/installation, wiring domestic heating controls, and immersion element replacement including draining down of the cylinder.
- Execute electric heating replacement/new installation and other electrical installation work.
- Notify the Qualifying Supervisor of any urgent repairs or health and safety defects discovered during work.
- Maintain accurate records of work undertaken and time taken daily, complying with the company’s operating procedures.
- Electrical Qualification C&G (2330 Essential, 2382 Essential, 2391 Desirable) or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience in domestic electrical installations.
- Proficient in using smart phone technology and PDAs for work scheduling, and capable of sending and receiving emails, calendar appointments, documents, and photographs.
- Ability to work within manufacturers' requirements and industry standards.
- Competent in diagnosing and undertaking repair works to domestic properties, including specifying materials required.
- Full Driving License and ability to drive a company vehicle, complying with the requirements of the Company Insurers and Vehicle Handbook.
