We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our finance accounts team, ensuring high standards of financial management and compliance. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, supporting the Financial Controller, and overseeing the production of all management and statutory information. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the team’s performance, ensuring timely and accurate financial processes and fostering professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the finance accounts team, providing support and guidance to ensure high performance and compliance with current legislation.
  • Oversee the production of timely and accurate management information, including annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and year-end documentation.
  • Ensure all financial documents and reports are filed correctly and within required timeframes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with external parties such as insurers, banks, auditors, and warranty providers.
  • Manage and motivate staff, conducting appraisals, and ensuring team members have the necessary skills and training.
  • Attend and present at various board and group meetings, maintaining a professional standard.
  • Ensure compliance with financial, legal, and corporate policies, including GDPR, FCA regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Recruit and train new team members, ensuring the finance department adapts to changing business environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management within a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a busy team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to produce and manage accurate financial reports and budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of maintaining professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
