Role Details

Position: Teacher of English and Media Studies

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover

Duration: Initially until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension to a full year

Start Date: January 2025

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Teach English and Media Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students

Monitor and support students' progress, providing regular feedback

Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and teaching materials

Participate in extracurricular activities and school events

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Has a passion for English and Media Studies

Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills

Is committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love for learning

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

Is adaptable and willing to contribute to the wider school community
