My client, a leading distribution company based in Andover is looking to recruit a Stock Controller on a full time, permanent basis. To succeed in this role, candidates will have experience within stock control and have excellent attention to detail.
Duties of Stock controllerwill include:
- Investigating stock issues and discrepancies.
- Dealing with pick errors and liaising with the correct department.
- Update the warehouse management system to ensure an accurate stock record is maintained.
- Track all stock movements within warehouse, minimising stock adjustments & losses.
- Maintain a safe, secure and tidy warehouse environment.
- Stock checking, sometimes manually counting items individually where required.
- Investigating missing items and liaising with warehouse managers.
- Answering stock queries from Customer Service by phone/email.
- Stock consolidation.
- Quality control of stock items.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Must have an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a similar role within a warehouse is desirable.
- Computer literate and have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Flexible can do attitude.
- Self-accountability/motivation.
Working hours are 6.00 - 14.30 Monday to Friday covering 40 hrs per week. The salary is £28,400 per annum.
