History and Humanities Teacher in Secondary School based in Andover

Pay – £130 - £230

Location –Andover

Hours - 8:00am – 4:00pm Temporary full-time

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and shaping the next generation? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History and Humanities Teacher to join our team at Supply Desk. The school is a mixed secondary school catering to students aged 11-16, based in the Andover area.

Qualifications:

-          Bachelor's degree in History or related field

-          QTS

-          Demonstrated experience in teaching history and humanities at KS3/KS4 level

-          Strong knowledge of historical events, theories, and methodologies

-          Proficiency in creating and implementing effective lesson plans

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-          Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students from diverse backgrounds

-          Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

Job Role:

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive history lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities. You will create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and explore historical concepts, events, and themes. Your role will involve:

-          Creating engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards

-          Employing innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance learning experiences

-          Assessing and evaluating students' progress through tests, assignments, and discussions

-          Offering constructive feedback and support to encourage students' academic growth

-          Collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary approaches and projects

-          Participating in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events

-          Keeping accurate records of students' performance and achievements
