Join Our Team as a Childrens Services Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Childrens services Coordinator to join our team in Andover. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families by delivering high-quality care in a home setting.

Working closely with the Childrens Services Clinical Lead and Registered Manager, you will play a key role in growing and developing our paediatric services. Your holistic approach will ensure that children, young people, and their families receive the support they need in a community setting. With specialist training, you will be central to the assessment and care planning of children with complex needs. As this is a new service and branch, you will have the opportunity to shape its direction while enjoying continuous professional growth in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for new service users and their families.
  • Provide compassionate support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in their homes.
  • Handle initial enquiries from families and prospective service users with warmth and professionalism.
  • Coordinate staff rostering to ensure a safe and effective service.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders involved in children’s care.
  • Assist in recruiting, mentoring, and supporting new and existing care workers.
  • Monitor staff performance with the support of the Paediatric Clinical Lead.
  • Oversee safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, ensuring swift and appropriate resolution.
  • Attend social services reviews and liaise with relevant agencies when required.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing emergency cover as needed.
  • Develop and maintain detailed care plans and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CQC standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full UK driving license is essential.
  • Experience working with children in a community or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Empathetic and adaptable, able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Highly organised with excellent multitasking abilities.
