Senior Project Engineer - 18-Month Contract

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join an 18-month contract based in Annan, working on critical engineering projects within a regulated environment. This role involves a 4-day work week, with the possibility of one remote day once training is completed.

Location: Annan (4-day week, with potential for 1 remote day/week post-training)
Duration: 18 months
Rate: Umbrella 46.85 per/hr

Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify functional project requirements and coordinate stakeholder needs.
  • Lead engineering support across the project, supporting Project Execution Plans, design, and commissioning strategies.
  • Manage and approve technical specifications and detailed design activities.
  • Ensure design authority standards are maintained throughout project phases.
  • Prepare modification proposals and supervise technical work, including contractor assessments and risk management.
  • Oversee construction and commissioning to meet design intent and compliance standards.
  • Ensure proper handover to operational systems, with full documentation and training provided.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • EC&I Experience: Demonstrated electrical, instrument, and control expertise within industrial plant environments.
  • Project Engineering: Extensive background in nuclear or conventional project engineering, with a strong emphasis on design management, safety, and commissioning.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in fault finding, testing, and configuration control within regulated environments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in managing project communication, supervision, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
