Arabic or Egyptian Speaking Community Care Worker

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Arabic or Egyptian speaking Community Care Worker to join our care team on a temporary basis. The role involves ensuring the personal care, health, and wellbeing of service users are maintained according to their individual needs and capabilities. This position requires a commitment to encouraging independence and supporting a range of practical, personal, emotional, and social needs as outlined in care and support plans.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Encourage and assist service users with personal care and daily living activities, promoting as much independence as possible.
  • Support service users with practical, personal, emotional, and social needs as identified within care and support plans.
  • Assist in the management of medical conditions and promote understanding and independence, ensuring dignity, rights, and choices are respected.
  • Work in partnership with professionals and local communities to support the specific needs of service users.
  • Assist with health care needs under supervision, such as catheter care, stoma care, simple dressings, administering medication, and other client-specific health care tasks.
  • Provide domestic help if required, including washing, ironing, cleaning, and shopping, as specified within the care support plan.
  • Recognise the overall wellbeing and safeguarding of the service user, reporting any concerns or changes in support provided.
  • Adhere to operational policies and procedures, maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Complete all required documentation fully and forward it in a timely manner to the organisation.
  • Inform the organisation of changes within the role and personal circumstances.
  • Attend supervision, staff engagement, appraisal, and professional development opportunities relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience within the care profession, delivering person-centred care.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic or Egyptian dialect (essential) and English.
  • Articulate with good reporting skills.
  • Clear understanding of issues surrounding confidentiality and safeguarding.
  • Smart, professional appearance.
  • Good organisational skills.
